Grimshaw is a renowned architecture, planning and industrial design practice that has won numerous awards for its projects around the world. This talk, given by a partner from Grimshaw’s New York studio, will discuss some of the key issues impacting architecture and design today. Touching on some of the firm's most celebrated buildings including Cornwall's Eden Project, Southern Cross station in Melbourne, New York City's Via Verde affordable housing, and the Centre for Planetary Health in Phoenix, attendees will hear how the practice's design ethos has evolved from performative high-tech to a more ecologically driven agenda and how Grimshaw strives to maintain a mission-driven approach, making exceptional, locally-grounded architecture accessible to diverse constituencies in different cities around the world.
